Micromax subsidiary YU has announced a new
smartphone. Dubbed Yunique 2, it's the successor to the Yunique from 2015,
featuring a larger display, better camera, higher capacity battery, and
Truecaller integration.
The YU Yunique 2 is powered by MediaTek MT6737 SoC
with quad-core 1.3 GHz processor, and sports a 5-inch HD display. RAM is 2GB,
while internal memory is 16GB (expandable by up to 64GB). The Yunique 2
features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. Measuring 145x72.7x9.15mm
and weighing in at 159g, the phone runs Android Nougat (7.0) out of the box. A
2,500 mAh battery sits under the hood.
The device carries a price tag of INR 5,999 (US$ 93), and will go on sale in India starting July 27 (this Thursday). It'll be a
Flipkart-exclusive and will be available in Champagne and Coal Black color
options.
