Vivo just announced X9s and X9s Plus, the company’s
flagship smartphones and the successors of last year’s X9 and X9 Plus in the ‘X series’ in China.
Both the phones have a 20-megapixel front-facing camera along with a
5-megapixel camera for capturing depth information when shooting selfies. The
company says that you can adjust f/0.95 to f/16 equivalent aperture. Both the
phones have a 16-megapixel front camera. The X9s Plus also has RK1608 DSP for
processing RAW captures.
The X9s has a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED screen and the
X9s Plus has a 5.85-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, both with 1.59mm narrow bezels on
the sides. The X9s is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 Mobile Platform
and the X9s Plus has Snapdragon 653, but both have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
These have a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.
The Vivo X9s and X9s Plus come in Matte Black, Gold
and Rose Gold colors and are priced at 2698 yuan (US$ 396) and
2998 yuan (US$ 440), respectively. The X9s Plus will go on sale
first from July 8th. Registrations for X9s opens July 14 and it will go on sale
from July 20th.
