The Honor 9 is a premium device by itself, so the
fact that the Chinese company launched an enhanced version of the flagship and
called it Premium is rather weird. The better-featured variant has no less than
6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage inside.
Since versions with more RAM are usually introduced
in China exclusively, it's quite a surprise to find out that Honor will be
making the 6GB RAM variant available in other regions as well. As per
Winfuture's report, the so-called Honor 9 Premium has been officially
introduced in Italy where the smartphone will be available for purchase
exclusively through Tre and 3 carriers.
Even in Switzerland, the Honor 9 Premium went on
pre-order, but the flagship won't hit the shelves until August 28 at the
earliest. As mentioned earlier, the standard Honor 9 that comes with 4GB RAM
and 64GB ROM, the Premium model has more storage (128GB) and RAM (6GB). As
such, it makes perfect sense to be priced higher than the Honor 9.
The good news is Honor 9 Premium will only be € 50
more expensive than the standard model, which puts its outright price at around
€ 450, a very decent amount for a flagship.
It's pretty clear that Honor plans to introduce the
enhanced version of Honor 9 in other European countries as well, but not
knowing when it will happen is likely to make the waiting annoying for Honor
fans.
