Xiaomi has this week announced new upgrades they are
rolling out to the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air improving the processor and graphics
performance of the system by including Kaby Lake CPUs and NVIDIA MX150 GPU’s.
The design of the system is identical to last year’s
model but now ships with 8 GB of RAM although supports the possibility to
install up to 16 GB of memory. Xiaomi It is also offering the chance to install
either 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage.
Other features include a new biometric security
feature in the form of a fingerprint reader, a 13.3 inch display capable of
providing users with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Together with
connectivity provided by 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, and connections in the form
of USB Type-C port, 2 x USB 3.0 ports and HDMI.
The 2017 Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is expected to
retail around US$ 730 in China although no worldwide prices have been announced as
yet but the system will be available to purchase through third-party retailers
such as Gearbest who have already published a holding page.
