The Asus ZenFone Live is an affordable Android
smartphone showcased back in February at Mobile World Congress. However, the
handset did not make it to market until May when it was officially introduced
in India.
Well, it looks like Asus won't limit the ZenFone
Live's availability to emerging markets in Asia. Starting this week, customers
can purchase the entry-level smartphone in Portugal for € 170. Other European
countries are likely to get the ZenFone Live, too.
Advertised as “the world's first smartphone with
hardware-optimized, real-time beautification technology, making it possible to
share an even more glamorous version of yourself,” Asus ZenFone Live is aimed
at users addicted to social networks.
The smartphone packs a 5-megapixel selfie camera
with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and a 1.4-micron pixels sensor, which offers
beautification filters and other advanced settings. There's also a 13-megapixel
main camera on the backside, which features f/2.0 aperture.
Asus ZenFone Live packs a 1.2 GHz
quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal
memory (expandable up to 128GB). A 5-inch display with HD (720p) resolution is
included as well, along with a 2,650 mah battery.
Sadly, the ZenFone Live won't be shipping with
Android 7.0 Nougat on board, as Asus decided to include the previous Android
6.0 Marshmallow version.
