Sony will soon launch a new
handset with ultra wide display to follow the recent acts of LG with G6 and
Samsung with Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8+.
New leaked renders of the alleged Sony Xperia X
Ultra revealed that the said phablet will be equipped with a 6.45 inch display
with 21:9 super wide ratio. It'll a little be different than the 18:5:9 ratio
of Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+ and the 18:9 ratio of LG G6, but it is still wide.
As per the leaked renders, the Sony Xperia X Ultra
will also be the first smartphone by the Japanese electronics giant that will
have a major design change in years. Coming from the old boxy design, the Sony
Xperia X Ultra will have slim bezels all around despite having a dual speaker
in front and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Under the hood, the phone is rumored to boasts a the
new Snapdragon 660 octa core processor paired with 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, and
3,050 mAh battery w/ QC 3.0. Camera-wise, Sony will flaunt a 19 MP main camera
(could be the Motion Eye with super slow motion) and a 13 MP selfie camera.
It'll likely boot with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The phone might be
launched in red and gray color variants.
