Oppo’s A-line of devices is squarely aimed at the
premium mid-range market, and their latest launch reflects that. The brand new
Oppo A77, announced on Oppo’s Taiwanese website, will be open for pre-orders on
May 19th, at least in Taiwan.
The Oppo A77 features an MT6570T processor at
1.5 GHz, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The display is
your typical 5.5-inch full HD unit, as well as a decently large 3,200 mAh
battery. Not too bad, though it’s still the typical mid-range build.
The main star here however is the camera setup. The
front camera on the Oppo A77 is a 16MP unit, and the application comes with
Beauty 4.0 and Portrait Mode. The rear camera is a more mild affair, being your
standard 13MP unit.
The device will be available in two colors, those
being Gold and Rose Gold. The A77 will go on sale for NTD 10,990, or roughly US$ 365. This places at
the pricier side of the premium mid-range market, which is a shame. It could
sell much better at a cheaper price point.
