Starting in July 2017 a new version of the Elite x2
tablet is being made available by Hewlett-Packard in the form of the New HP
Elite x2 1012 G2 tablet which now comes equipped with a faster processor,
higher resolution display together with “business class” features.
When the new tablet launches in July expect prices
to start from US$ 1099 offering a 12.3 inch display with a case equipped with a
built-in kickstand and detachable keyboard.
Other features include USB 3.1 Type-C and USB 3.0
Type-A ports and the display offers a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels. The 47
Wh on-board battery is capable of providing up to 10 hours of continual use
from a single charge and using fast charge technology is capable of being
recharged to 50 percent in just 30 minutes when required.
Business class features include a fingerprint sensor
on the rear of the tablet, a Windows Hello-compatible IR camera on the front
together with front facing speakers front-facing.
