Luxury fashion brand Michael Kors is back in the
smartwatch industry with two new products: Sofie and Grayson. Both are part of
the Michael Kors Access collection and will be available for purchase in some
new markets in 2017, including China, Brazil, and many others.
Sofie and Grayson are two Android
Wear 2.0 smartwatches featuring AMOLED touchscreen displays and Qualcomm
Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoCs (system-on-chip). Naturally, both smartwatches are
compatible with Android and iOS phones.
The Sofie is aimed at women and features a thin,
lightweight case body and a full round display. The smartwatch will be
available in eight different plating and bracelet combinations, as well as
seven interchangeable strap options.
On the other hands, the Grayson is made for men and
combines luxury with sporty looks. It has a similar full round dial with a
rotating crown that helps scroll faster. The smartwatch will be available in
gold-tone, stainless steel, and blue and black ion-plate, with four
interchangeable strap options.
Michael Kors announced that its
Sofie and Grayson smartwatches will be available for purchase for prices
starting at US$ 350. They will be launched in all markets the luxury brand is
currently selling its products, plus the new ones mentioned earlier.
