Rumours sparked during MWC earlier in the year when
Meizu announced that it planned to be the first phone maker to launch a handset
using the Mediatek Helio X30 chipset. The Meizu Pro 7.
Today that deduction became more of a reality when
GizChina.it posted a screenshot of some code that it claims comes from a source
at Meizu working on Flyme for the new flagship.
According to the leak, the Meizu Pro 7 will come
with a 10nm deca-core Mediatek MT6799 which is the code name for the Helio X30.
The X30 features 3 core clusters ranging from 2 x 2.5Ghz down to 4 x 1.9Ghz.
The information goes on to show 2 camera modules on
the phone which might relate to a dual rear camera design as we have seen on
other flagship phones recently. The cameras in question for the Meizu Pro 7 are
the Sony IMX386 and IMX286. The front sensor is also listed but is a Samsung
S5K368, the same 16-megapixel camera found on the rear of the OnePlus 3T.
Another interesting detail is the mention of a ‘dual
display’. While we don’t know what this means we guess that is might be some
sort of integrated secondary screen like those on the LG V20 and HTC U Ultra.
This information comes at an interesting time with
OnePlus rumoured to launch the OP5.
