Several weeks after Huawei released its plastic and
ceramic-made Watch 2 in the US, today, the company started selling a classier
version of the device - aptly called Huawei Watch 2 Classic. The Huawei Watch 2
Classic has a stainless steel body, and comes with nicer wrist bands that are
made out of leather.
For the reasons mentioned above, the Watch 2 Classic
is a bit more expensive, being sold for US$ 369.99 - that's US$ 70 over the price of
the regular variant of the smartwatch.
The Huawei Watch 2 Classic resembles
its less elegant brethren, so it's offering a 1.2-inch, 390 x 390 pixels
circular display, built-in GPS, NFC, heart rate sensor, 4 GB of internal
memory, and a 420 mAh battery. The smartwatch is dust- and water-resistant, and
runs Android Wear 2.0, thus being compatible with both Android, and iOS
devices. There's no LTE or any other kind of cellular connectivity on board,
but Huawei plans to offer an LTE version of the Watch 2 sometime soon.
You can order the Huawei Watch 2 Classic online
via Best Buy, Newegg, or Amazon. For a
limited time, buyers of the new smartwatch are getting 10 weeks of free access
to Google Play Music
