It’s been awhile since the existence of Lenovo’s
Tab3 8 Plus was leaked online. The 8 Plus is the supposed successor to the
company’s currently available Tab3 8 budget tablet and, is expected to feature improved specifications including an upgraded
processor and display. Today, some of those leaked specifications look to
have been confirmed as the device was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking
app’s database.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Tab3 8 Plus
will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, a big change and upgrade from
its predecessor’s MediaTek CPU. It will also feature more memory at 3GB of RAM
to compliment the upgraded processor, making it suitable enough for
multi-tasking. The listing also revealed that the Tab3 8 Plus got a single-core
and multi-core score of 935 and 4667, respectively, showing that the 8 Plus is
quite the formidable device.
Tthe Tab3 8 Plus
will also run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box although Lenovo might
decide to upgrade the OS to Android 7.0 Nougat sometime in the future. Along
with all of this, the device’s previously leaked specifications include an
8-inch 1080p full HD display, 32 or 64GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel
rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
No information on the tablet’s availability or
pricing has been unveiled though but since the device has already been spotted
on Geekbench it probably won’t be long until the device is finally launched and
released. With its improved specifications, the Tab3 8 Plus is also expected to
be priced slightly higher than its predecessor.
