A new range of touchscreen mini PC systems has been
created by Chinese hardware manufacturer Shenzhen EC Technology, which will
most likely be launched under its ECDREAM brand and be equipped with an 8 inch
touchscreen display and preloaded with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 operating
system or Ubuntu Linux depending on your preference.
Internally the systems will be available with a
choice of Intel Celeron N3350, Celeron N3450, or Pentium N4200 processors
supported by Intel HD graphics offering 4K Ultra HD video playback. The 8 inch
touchscreen IPS display will provide users with a resolution of 1280 x 800
pixels and be powered by a rechargeable 10,000 mAh battery which is capable of
providing a few hours of functionality whilst away from the grid.
Other features of the touchscreen mini PC include
the ability to install up to 8GB of RAM, up to 128GB og eMMC and/or up to 128GB
of M.2 SSD storage, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI and VGA output, and
five USB ports (one USB Type-C, two USB 3.0, and two USB 2.0).
The new touchscreen mini PC is expected to launch in
the next few weeks and be priced at around US$ 450.
