ZTE have officially unveiled their latest
mid-range smartphone at an event in New Delhi, i.e. the ZTE Blade A2 Plus. The
smartphone will be the first device launched in the Indian market from the
Chinese phone maker in a long time. Here’s a look at the specifications of the
phone.
ZTE Blade A2 Plus’s strongest selling point is its
massive 5000 mAh battery. It also features a full metal body — exception made
for the antenna lines — and a 5.5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display with 2.5D glass.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 4GB of
RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD).
Other than that we find a rear 13MP camera with
dual-tone LED flash and PDAF autofocus, while on the front there’s a 8MP
shooter also accompanied by an LED flash.
The handset will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of
the box, which is a bit disappointing at this point in time, but will suffice
nonetheless. ZTE Blade A2 Plus will be priced 11,999 INR (US$ 178) and comes in
two color variants: Gold and Silver. It’ll be available exclusively at Flipkart
starting February 6th.
With the big 5000 mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and an
affordable price, the Blade A2 Plus is a very interesting new entry in the
Indian market, still, it’ll go against devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
(Snapdragon) also recently launched in India, which is not an easy task.
