Lenovo
introduced three new notebooks: ThinkPad P51, ThinkPad P71 and ThinkPad P51s.
All three models have displays with 4K resolution, graphics card NVIDIA Quadro,
and the latest Intel processors. As stated by the developers, the announced
devices trio meets all requirements of MIL specifications. Although the company
did not go into the details, most likely, new items have security standard
MIL-810G, so that they are not subject to the emergence of a variety of
injuries when falling and hitting.
ThinkPad P51s became very thin and light
model among the new products. Dimensions of the device are 365,8 x 252,8 x
19,95-20,2 mm, and weight - about 1.4 kg. ThinkPad P51s Intel Core i7
processor, graphics accelerator NVIDIA Quadro M520M, 64 GB DDR4 RAM and
SSD-drive NVMe 1 TB, as well as a battery with hot-swappable. The model will be
available in two versions: with a screen resolution of Full HD and 4K. In
addition, the model has acquired a three-port USB 3.0, HDMI-port 1.4, Gigabit
Ethernet port, and support for Thunderbolt.

Compared to the ThinkPad P51s, ThinkPad P51 model is
not only a large size (377,4 x 353,3 x 24,5-25,9 mm) and weight (about 2.7 kg),
but also increased productivity. The laptop will be available in two
configurations: the seventh generation of processors Intel Core i7 and Intel
Xeon E3-v6, and permissions screens Full HD and 4K. Device supplemented 64GB of
DDR memory 4 and SSD-drive to 2 TB, four USB-ports 3.0, HDMI-port 1.4, Intel
Thunderbolt port 3, and an ExpressCard slot. Unlike the previous model,
ThinkPad P51 equipped with a more powerful graphics processor NVIDIA Quadro
M2200M.

Closes the three devices is Lenovo ThinkPad P71. The model has got a 17-inch display with a resolution of
Full HD or 4K, processors Intel Xeon E3-v6 or Core i7, 64GB DDR4 RAM and 2TB
NVMe SSD-drive. ThinkPad P71 also received the video card NVIDIA Quadro P5000M,
four USB-ports 3.0, HDMI-port 1.4, Ethernet-port, the Intel Thunderbolt port 3,
SmartCard slot, and ExpressCard. Dimensions new items are 416 x 275,5 x
29,9-31,5 mm, and weight - about 3.4 kg. Developers say a special design of the
cooling system P71, thanks to which the new is protected from overheating and
features quiet operation even under heavy load.
All new items will go on sale in Russia in May.
Lenovo ThinkPad P51s will hit the market at US$ 1,049. The cost of P51 and P71
will be US$ 1399 and US$ 1849 respectively.
