HTC Malaysia has launched its latest smartphones in
Malaysia – HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. The former comes with a 2-inch secondary
display while the latter comes with a more budget price tag.
The HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inch Super LCD 5
display with Quad HD resolution and a 2-inch secondary display for
notification. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro
quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on
Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU alongside 4GB of RAM. The internal storage of HTC U
Ultra is 64GB and can expanded by a microSD.
The camera of HTC U Ultra comes with a 12-megapixel
UltraPixel 2 camera while the front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter for
selfie. The fingerprint sensor is embedded onto the home button. The smartphone
also features HTC Sense Companion and HTC USonic and BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition.
The HTC U Play features a 5.2-inch Super LCD display
with FHD resolution. It is powered by 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755
octa-core processor, which consists of eight Cortex A53 cores and Mali T860 MP2
GPU alongside 4GB of RAM. The internal storage of HTC U Play is 64GB and can
expanded by a microSD.
The camera of HTC U Play comes with a 16-megapixel
camera while the front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter for selfie. The
fingerprint sensor is embedded onto the home button. The smartphone also
features HTC Sense Companion and HTC USonic. The HTC Ultra is priced at RM 2,999 while the HTC U Play is priced at RM 1,899.
