The German based camera
manufacturer surprises us with its all new Titanium camera set. The
brand’s M-P ‘Titanium’ Set is a part of its fifth edition and comes in an
exceptionally elegant and distinctive appearance.
This unique new addition set offers a M-P (Typ 240)
digital functionality camera and two lenses – a Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH
and a Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH. The set’s plate and control elements
are made from solid titanium, rendering a robust look to it while additionally
reducing its weight by an approximate 90 grams as compared to the standard
production model. More spunky features include the classic Leica engraving on
the top plate with an exclusive special edition serial number on the accessory
shoe. The equipment’s body is fitted with a classy full
grain leather grim giving it an exceptionally good grip along with a matching
leather sling strap. Its aluminum lenses comes with a perfect anodized titanium
finish with the focusing length distances and focal length specifications
engraved on it in a striking red color.
The new addition set encompassed every technicality
of the standard production while also offering functional benefits of the
iconic Leica M digital rangefinder system cameras. While the Leica Summicron-M
28mm f/2 ASPH is a perfect fit for reportage photography with its compact size,
wide angle lens and fast performance, Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH is an
equally outstanding catch with its unparalleled resolution and sophisticated
sharpness. The limited edition sets will be made available this fall, retailing
at £ 17,900 (US$ 23,700). With the introduction of the all new titanium set,
we wonder what fate the brand’s new, to- be- released digital M rangefinder
holds.
