Starmobile Engage Aura
Starmobile launches its second laptop in conjunction
with Lazada Philippines’ Grand Christmas Sale, the Starmobile Engage Aura. It’s
a Windows 10 laptop with a 14 inch screen, quad core processor from Intel, 2GB
of RAM and claims 7 hours of battery life. The company says it’s perfect for
students and professionals on a budget.
The Starmobile Engage Aura runs on the Intel Atom
x5-Z8350 processor running at 1.44 GHz and a burst speed of up to 1.92 GHz. It’s
a power efficient chip sufficient for web browsing, office tasks and casual
games. Its relatively big screen is definitely a selling point. Above it is a 2
Megapixel web cam for video conferencing.
The Starmobile Engage Aura
comes with a mere 32GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot that
supports up to 64GB memory cards but no hard disk or any disk drive. There’s a
USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port though where the user can connect additional storage.
It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity. It also has a mini HDMI
port for connecting the device to a TV or projector as well as a 3.5 mm audio
jack.
The Starmobile Engage Aura is a sleek and
presentable laptop with its tapered body and two color options - silver and
gold. It measures 20 mm at its thickest and weighs 1.39 kg. Its official price
is PHP 10,990.00 but a special price of PHP 7,990.00 can be availed during Lazada’s
Grand Christmas Sale. This is only for the silver variant
though. The gold one will be available at Starmobile stores on the last week of
December for PHP 9,990.00.
