Meizu Pro 6 Plus

Everything about this new phone is bling. It looks shiny, features a QHD display, and has the famous Meizu glowing halo — but  on the wrong side. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus is powered by the Exynos 8890 — the very SoC you find inside a Galaxy S7, if you dig deep enough — along with 4GB of RAM.

One of the highlights of the Pro 6 Plus happens to be the 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440p OLED display. The Pro 6 Plus clearly means business, and ships only in 64GB and 128GB versions — as if saying there’s no space for 16/32GB mediocrity.

The Pro 6 Plus will also feature what the company calls ‘One Mind’, a system built into the Flyme OS of the smartphone designed to act as an AI engine. It apparently brings 400 new features to the phone. Speaking of features, the Pro 6 Plus also has 3D touch support (pressure-sensitive touch), which however will work only with stock apps for now.

A 3400 mAh battery powers this in-your-face looking smartphone, but despite that the phone is limited to a thickness of 7.3 mm . As for the camera department, a 12 mega-pixel f/2.0 rear along with a 5 mega-pixel front shooter take charge.

The phone will be on sale in China in the coming days, but buyers around the world should have plenty opportunity to get one from their favourite resellers.

Starting the 23rd of December, the Meizu Pro 6 Plus will start shipping in China for the following prices:
  •          4GB RAM/64GB ROM: 2999 yuan (US$ 435)
  •          4GB RAM/128GB ROM: 3299 yuan (US$ 480)
