Smartron tphone


Smartron, a Hyderabad-based smart devices manufacturer, has announced their first smartphone called tphone. It is powered by the tron ecosystem, which was unveiled last month at New Delhi announcement event, where Sachin Tendulkar also launched the company’s first hybrid tablet named tbook. 

Smartron, will not only be releasing the smartphones and tablets, but would be going beyond that to pursue IOT (Internet of Things) goals in the coming months. The brand has also showcased its interests in setting up manufacturing units in the country under “Make in India” initiative.

The tphone comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED 1080p resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with support of 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is running on the Android Marshmallow based interface, which looks like an almost stock like. There would be a support for unlimited cloud storage.

It has a 13-megapixel image sensor on the rear while a 5MP front facing module. The rear module has a lens size of 1.12µm, front module has a lens size of 2µm. All this is powered by a 3000 mAh capacity battery. Note that it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. The device sports a USB Type-C, instead of the usual microUSB 2.0 port. It would be available in four colors, Orange, Grey, Blue and Pink.

The device also features unique noise cancellation microphones and of course, the tron X ecosystem, which includes various online services like cloud, customer care and online store. With a price tag of Rs 22,999 it can be revolutionary product.
