LG X Power and G Pad X II 10.1
The LG X Power made its way to the United States
last month via Cricket Wireless and more recently, reached Sprint and Boost
Mobile. Now, U.S. Cellular has joined the growing list of providers to offer
the device and its mammoth 4100 mAh battery. Additionally, those looking for a
tablet can now grab LG's G Pad X II 10.1 through the carrier.
The X Power includes a large
display, though its name relates to battery power rather than horsepower. The
5.3-inch panel is of 720 x 1280 resolution, while the handset gets Qualcomm's
Snapdragon 212 and 1.5 GB RAM. There's an 8-megapixel main camera on the back
with LED flash and auto-focus, while the X Power's 5-megapixel shooter will
take care of your selfie needs. The device ships with 16 GB storage, which can
be expanded thanks to the microSD slot.
The LG G Pad X II 10.1, meanwhile, gets a 10.1-inch
1200 x 1920 display, Snapdragon 617 with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable storage and
5-megapixel snappers on the front and rear. In-keeping with the theme of
sizeable batteries, the juice pack of the G Pad X II 10.1 is a substantial 6000
mAh in capacity.
The LG X Power is available prepaid for US$ 149.99
though U.S. Cellular provides several instalment plans spread over 24 or 30
months if you want to take the US$ 0 down route. The G Pad X II 10.1 is available US$ 149.99 on a two-year contract, or you can pay nothing and spread the cost over
time.
