ELE Thunder powerbank
First Elephone powerbank product is here and the
chinese manufacturer is trying to enter the market in style with ELE Thunder,
because it’s just overflowing with features and latest technologies. Of course
as most of the higher end devices it’s not exactly cheap but that’s the price
for evolution.
Most important feature of the ELE Thunder is the
Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support allowing the devices being charge up to four
times faster than with conventional charging means. It also employs the smart
Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV) algorithm, which can
determine the optimal voltage for the connected device.
ELE Thunder carries a hefty 16000 mAh capacity using
high-end LG chips with allegedly very high 95 % conversion rate. The
powerbank’s design is very interesting with metal and rubber oil coating
resembling some rugged type of external harddisks. With 296 g of weight and
15.3 cm x 6.5 cm x 2.3 cm dimensions it’s fairly light compared to similar products
and offers all the important ports with USB Type-C, normal USB and micro-USB.
The company promises also very fast charging times
for the powerbank itself, 8000 mAh level should be reached in just 2 hours.
Currently it’s available from the official Elephone store for US$ 44.99 in the
black/gold combination only, although black/red and white/rose gold should be
up for grabs later on too.
You can find more information about ELE Thunder in
here or here. Another interesting piece of info just landed from the Elephone
too, seems like they have a “large group of QC 3.0 devices” coming and im quite
curious.
