Razer Blade and Blade Stealth (update)
Razer announced updated versions of its
Blade Stealth Ultrabook and Blade gaming notebook at PAX this year.
The Blade Stealth sees numerous
improvements over the previous version that came out earlier this year. One of
the changes is the switch to Intel's 7th generation Core-i7-7500U with Intel HD
Graphics 620. It still comes in the same QHD (2560 x 1440) or 4K (3840 x 2160)
display options, with the QHD model getting 128/256/512 GB SSD storage options and
the 4K model getting 512 GB/1 TB SSD options. All but the very base 128 GB model
get 16 GB RAM, with the base model staying at 8 GB. Razer has also updated the
battery on the Blade Stealth, with the newer model running a 53.6Wh battery.
The rest of the specifications are identical to the previous model.
As for the larger Blade, it now comes
with NVIDIA's latest 1060 GPU replacing the 970M on the previous model. The
Blade is available in two display options, a 14-inch 1080p matte display and a
14-inch 3200 x 1800 QHD+ display. The storage options include 128 GB/512 GB/1 TB
options with 16 GB RAM across the board. The Blade still rocks the 6th
generation Intel Core-i7-6700HQ and a 70Wh battery. Prices for the Blade Stealth start at US$ 999 and the Blade starts at US$ 1799.
