Tecno L8 is one of those
affordable smartphones designed to offer users awesome battery life. The beast
features a 5,050 mAh battery, a large HD IPS display and decent cameras, amongst
other entry-to-midrange features.
Unsurprising for what is
expected to be a budget device, the Tecno L8 parades a plastic body. However,
the smartphone has a metal-appearance that gives it a premium look. It has a
thickness of 8.85 millimetres which is a bit on the thick side. Tecno L8 sports
a huge 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This offers
ample screen estate, but a pixel density of about 267 ppi could have been
better for more immersive wide-angle viewing.
The
Tecno L8 packs a combo of 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter and a 2-megapixel
selfie snapper. The main camera features LED flash, autofocus and HDR to
improve shot quality. The onboard storage capacity of 16 GB should suffice for
handling thousands of photos, songs, videos and apps. The storage is also
expandable using a microSD card.
The L8 is decked out to
deliver the level of performance you’d ordinarily expect from most low
mid-range smartphones these days. It is powered by a quad-core processor
clocked at 1.3 GHz. This is assisted for manageable multitasking by lowly 1 GB
of RAM. The decision to run this phone on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system
may not go down well with some buyers, but this is a budget device after all.
The headline feature of the
Tecno L8 is that it comes equipped with a colossal 5,050 mAh Li-Ion battery
which, on paper, looks like one to offer long runtime. You can extend battery
life with a dedicated button for triggering a power saver mode. The Tecno L8
supports dual-SIM feature, but it appears buyers won’t be getting LTE support.
Standard connectivity options such as Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi are onboard. USB
OTG is supposedly supported as well.
Tecno L8 is not yet
available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy the smartphone at leading
online stores in Nigeria. Tecno L8 Price in Nigeria is expected to range from
N25,000 to N35,000 depending on your location in the country.
