Meizu U10 and U20


Meizu, the Chinese mobile manufacturer, has launched two new handsets in their home market, they are called U10 and U20. These devices are powered by Alibaba’s YunOS. It is not the first Meizu handset to run on this OS, as the company recently announced the M1E, the Helios P10 powered a smartphone.

The new pair of handsets under U Series is a part of Blue Charm Series. They both feature a metal frame with glass body sandwiched on both sides. The U10 model sports 5-inch display, while packing an Octa-core processor under the hood. Note that it has two variants, one comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage, while the second variant comes with a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage.

It boasts 13-megapixel image sensor on the rear and a 5-megapixel image sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. There is a 2,760 mAh capacity battery powering the device. It has a mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button.

The U20 smartphone have a larger 5.5-inch 1080p display; it is also accompanied by an Octa-core processor. There is a similar setup of different models when it comes to RAM and internal storage availability. You can either go for 2 GB RAM/16 GB storage setup or 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage setup.

Coming to the camera department on the U20, it has 13-megapixel image sensor on the back, whereas there is a 5-megapixel image sensor adorned on the front side; it can be used to take selfies and video chats. Aboard is a 3,260 mAh capacity battery that should easily last for a day.

The U10 has priced 999 Yuan for 2 GB model, while 3 GB model sales at 1199 Yuan. The U20 is priced at 1099 Yuan for 2 GB model, while 1299 Yuan for 3 GB model. The bigger screen handset would be available starting August 28 on Meizu Stores, while from next day it can be purchased on Meizu Mall, Jingdong Mall, Lynx Official Flagship Store and Tesco. While note that U10 would be available in a similar manner but dates are different., i.e. September 18th & 19th.
