Hyve Buzz and Storm
Delhi-based Hyve Mobility has marked its
debut in the smartphone market with the launch of two devices – the Hyve Buzz
and Storm. Both phones run Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Honeycomb OS, and will be
upgraded to Android Marshmallow in the coming weeks. The Hyve Storm is a budget
offering, while the Hyve Buzz is a high-end phablet-grade device.
The Hyve Buzz sports a 5.5-inch full HD
display with a 2.5D Arc Glass laid on top. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz 64-bit
octa-core processor, aided by 3 GB of RAM and a Mali T720 GPU. The phone comes with 16GB of internal memory,
further expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card. The brand is offering a 32 GB
microSD card bundled with the phone. For imaging, it offers a 13 MP rear snapper
with a dual-LED flash and full HD video recording, and a 5 MP selfie shooter.
Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and
a USB Type-C port. It is fuelled by a 2,500 mAh battery, which is capable of
delivering up to 15 hours of talk time. The phone also sports a fingerprint
sensor on the back, and is splash-proof thanks to IPX4 certification.
The Hyve Storm offers a 5-inch HD IPS
display, and is backed by a 1.3 GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor, coupled
with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory, further expandable up
to 64 GB via a microSD card. It also offers a 13 MP rear snapper with an LED
flash, and a 5 MP selfie shooter. A 2,000 mAh battery keeps it running, which
delivers up to 14 hours of talk time. Its connectivity features are the same as
the Hyve Buzz.
The Hyve Buzz has been priced at Rs
13,999, and comes in Twilight Black, Midnight Blue and Sunset Wine colour
choices. The Hyve Storm is priced at Rs 8,499, and is being offered in Snow
White and Mystic Grey hues. They will be available via major e-commerce portals
starting June 22nd.
