Gionee Pioneer P5L (2016)
Gionee has introduced
upgraded version of its 2014 Pioneer P5L smartphone in India. Priced at Rs.
8,499, the Gionee Pioneer P5L (2016) is now available to buy via the company's
online store. The Chinese company confirmed the launch in a Facebook post.
The biggest highlight of the
Pioneer P5L (2016) smartphone is it features 4G LTE as well as voice over LTE
(VoLTE). According to the official Gionee listing, the Pioneer P5L (2016)
supports the two LTE bands in India - FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz
(Band 40).
The
Gionee Pioneer P5L (2016) features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. The
Android 5.1 Lollipop-based smartphone runs Amigo 3.1 UI on top. The dual-SIM
smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 1 GB of RAM.
It packs 16 GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage via microSD
card (up to 128 GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and
there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on board. Connectivity options,
apart from 4G, include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.
Measuring 143.5x72x8.3 mm,
the Pioneer P5L (2016) will be available in Black, Blue, Gold, Red, White, and
Yellow colours. It is backed by a 2,300 mAh battery rated to deliver up to 9
hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 300 hours on 3G network. The
smartphone weighs nearly 147 grams and comes preloaded with WhatsApp, Facebook,
Snapdeal, WPS office, 360 Security lite, Clean master, and Hungama apps among
others.
