Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro
In March this year, Samsung launched the
Galaxy J3 (review) budget Android smartphone with an S Bike mode in India for
Rs 8,990. Now the company has launched the Galaxy J3 Pro as a slightly upgraded
variant of the Galaxy J3 in China. The new phone is made out of a polycarbonate
material, but sports a metal-like finish on the back and edges.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro sports a
5-inch Super AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The
phone is powered by a 64-bit 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410
processor, aided by 2-gigs of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which
is further expandable via a microSD card.
For imaging, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro
sports an 8-megapixel autofocus primary snapper with an LED flash and f/2.2
aperture. For selfies and video calling, it gets a 5-megapixel secondary
snapper with f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS. A 2,600 mAh battery keeps the phone running.
Software-wise, the Galaxy J3 Pro runs
Android 5.1 Lollipop with the brand’s TouchWiz user interface on top. The phone
has been priced at 990 Yuan (approx. Rs 10,090), and comes in Gold and Grey
colour choices. It will be available via China Telecom later this month, but there’s
no word on its global availability at the moment.
