LG Stylo 2 Plus
The LG Stylo has become LG’s budget
phablet device for those who would like a Galaxy Note-like experience with LG’s
own device featuring a dedicated stylus that stows away in the phone.
The first Stylo came out last May and
has been deemed popular with pre-paid carriers like Boost and Cricket. The LG
Stylo 2 was then released in April to replace the original LG Stylo. Now, LG
has released a new Stylo variant called the Stylo 2 Plus which features a
Snapdragon 430 CPU, instead of a 410.
The Stylo 2 Plus also features a
fingerprint scanner, placed right over the rear-mounted button setup. There are
13 MP and 5 MP rear and front facing cameras, respectively. But the cameras are
only carried over from the Stylo 2. There’s also the 5.7 inch 720p display with
LG’s Stylus Pen. It even has a similar feature to Samsung’s SMemo feature which
lets you write a note on the display when it’s turned off.
The battery goes down in size from
3,000 mAh battery to a 2,900 mAh battery on the Stylo 2 Plus. This could be due
to an increased efficiency from the Snapdragon 430 and perhaps to offset the
cost of adding a fingerprint sensor into the power button.
The LG Stylo 2 Plus is now available
from Metro PCS for US$ 220 or US$ 150 after a US$ 70 mail-in rebate.
