Kyocera Hydro Shore
Kyocera has launched a new budget
smartphone. Dubbed Hydro Shore, it's a waterproof device with IP57
certification, meaning it can withstand immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to 1 meter of water. In addition, you can use the screen (take calls,
check messages, and operate apps) even when it's wet.
Specs-wise, the handset is powered by
Snapdragon 210 chipset with Quad-core 1.1 GHz processor, and sports a 5.0-inch
qHD display. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable memory, and packs in a
2,160 mAh battery.
In terms of camera, the Hydro Shore
features a 5 MP rear unit and a 2 MP front shooter. Measuring 139 x 72.1 x 9.9 mm
and weighing in at 141 grams, the phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It carries a
price tag of US$ 80, and is available for purchase through Walmart.
