Samsung Gear Fit 2
At this point it's pretty
much a given that Samsung will launch the Gear Fit 2 in the coming weeks or
months. The fitness tracker that's going to be the successor to the original
Gear Fit from 2014 has first been leaked last month, followed yesterday by an
image of it spotted hanging out on an official Samsung website.
And today prolific leaker
Evan Blass (also known as @evleaks) has released some new renders of the
upcoming device. These show three color versions for the Fit 2, though it's
unclear whether they are going to be all of the hues of the tracker, or if it
will be offered in even more colorful iterations.
Even if black, pink, and
blue will turn out to be the only options when it comes time to purchase a Gear
Fit 2, at least you do have two versions that stand out somewhat compared to
the bland black model.
The Gear Fit 2 has been
rumored to sport a built-in GPS, as well as a 1.84-inch curved AMOLED
touchscreen. It appears to have a slightly more square aspect ratio compared to
the more elongated look of the first Gear Fit's panel. And, as you can see, the
strap now has a textured finish. Other details about the new fitness tracker
aren't out yet, but at this rate of leaks we expect to hear a lot more about it
soon.
