Xiaomi XiaoYi Ants 2 Smart Camera
Xiaomi has announced a
smart camera last year named Xiaomi XiaoYi Ants which can be used for
surveillance as well as security purposes in Yi series, where the camera gadgets
by Xiaomi are labelled.
This camera was popular among smart buyers as like any
other Xiaomi products. The second generation of Xiaomi XiaoYi Ants, named
XiaoYi Ants 2 has just announced by the company a while ago. The Xiaomi XiaoYi
Ants 2 camera has more improvements in functionalities and features as well.
There is also a 360 degree view camera with two fish eye lenses on either
side announced alongside it.
The Xiaomi XiaoYi Ants 2 Smart
Camera is made with an improved CMOS
sensor made by Panasonic. It uses a new generation S2LM image processor inside
it. It has a fish eye lens which can take wide angle shots and videos at 130
degrees, with Full HD (1080p) videos at 25FPS, while its predecessor supports
only HD (720p) shooting. The all new camera from Xiaomi has an aperture of
f/2.0. The camera also features so many unique specifications from Xiaomi. The
camera could be worked up with smartphones through its apps.
The Xiaomi XiaoYi Ants 2 includes many
stabilization and starring features like smartHDR tech, which detects ambient
lights and gives better output image processed even in low lights. Most of the
surveillance cameras are facing the LCD distortion problem which shows more
noises on screen, but the Yi Ants 2 has LCD Distortion correction technology to
minimize the chance to ruin the videos.
The unique features of Xiaomi XiaoYi
Ants 2 also contains a face detection, which the camera will alarm when it
detects any human in surveillance area. Also we can focus area to any
particular position to make the camera’s decisions more accurate. Another smart
feature included with it is the gesture support, which can follow our commands
through our actions like hand sweeping, etc. like the leap motion technology.
Apart from the security needs, the smart camera can be used for baby monitor, a
“baby crying detection” technology is also used in it. The “traffic statistic”
feature can help us to find the number of visitors in a place like stores.
For storage, it has an SD Card slot to
save locally. The smart camera from Xiaomi, the
XiaoYi Ants 2 camera will be available soon at a price as low as 399 Yuan (US$ 61)
in China.
