O+ Sonic
It’s easy for a perfectly good
entry-level smartphone to get lost in a sea of competitors. Even LTE-equipped
budget smartphones still need something else to stand out. Enter the O+ Sonic,
which was silently revealed by O+ USA on their website. It’s a 5 inch phone
with LTE connectivity and something else up its sleeve: a peace to selfie
feature.
From the name itself, the peace to
selfie feature allows you to wirelessly trigger a shot from either the front or
back camera just by holding up the peace sign. While it may not see much use
with the front camera, using it with the back camera instantly makes group
selfies that much easier, especially if you want to be in the shot.
The rest of the phone is decent, but
pedestrian. You’re getting an HD IPS display, 1 GHz quad core processor, 8 GB of
internal storage, 4G/LTE, and Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. Interested? The O+
Sonic is going for just PHP 4,999. No word yet though on RAM, specific SoC,
pricing, or even when it will actually become available as O+ USA hasn’t even
officially announced it yet via their Facebook page.
