Polaroid Power and Snap
This year at CES, two new Polaroid
branded handsets have been unveiled. Both are actually made by Southern
Telecom, which licensed the famous name.
The Polaroid Power features a 6-inch
screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution screen. An octa-core CPU is under the
hood. 3 GB of RAM is inside along with 32 GB of internal storage. A 13 MP camera
adorns the back of the phone, and a front-facing 8 MP camera comes with a flash
for selfies. The generator keeps humming thanks to a 3,000 mAh battery, and the
phone is priced at US$ 249.99. That's without having to affix your name to a
two-year pact.
The Polaroid Snap offers three different
variants with a 5-inch, 5.5-inch or 6-inch screen. Each display carries a 720 x
1280 resolution, and all three versions are powered by a quad-core CPU with 2 GB
of RAM inside. 16 GB of native storage is inside, and the camera combo weighs in
at 13 MP/5 MP. There is a selfie flash for the front-facing camera. The price of
the Snap ranges from US$ 129.99 to US$ 179.99, and is based on the screen size.
The Polaroid Snap and its three variants
will be available starting next month, while the Polaroid Power will be
released in the spring. Polaroid says more information pertaining to the
handsets will be announced when the phones are closer to being launched.
