Le Max Pro
The LeTV that was debuted the smartphone
market in 2015 has announced the Le Max PRO powered by latest Snapdragon 820
quad-core processor. Steven Mollenkopf, chief executive at Qualcomm, had
briefed the latest and first of its kind features that can be found on this new
smartphone.
It is the successor for 6.3-inch
phablet, LeTV Le Max, that was unveiled in April 2015 along with Le One and Le
One Pro Superphones. The device comes powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled
with Adreno 530 GPU and Hexagon 680 DSP. According to Qualcomm, the device will
be equipped with Quick Charge 2.0 while the Snapdragon 820 was announced with
Quick Charge 3.0 that is 4X faster than the normal charging speeds and 38%
improved from the Quick Charge 2.0.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID
fingerprint technology will also debut the market with the Le Max Pro. Unlike
the capacitive fingerprint technologies, the ultrasonic-based Sense ID comes
with high-level security features. By using the ultrasonic technologies, the Le
Max Pro can detect whether it is live
finger or not. The fingerprint sensor on the Le Max Pro cannot be visible to
users since it will be hidden under the 400-micrometer metal.
Though the sensor will not have a direct contact with the finger, it can give
more accurate results. It also sports latest X12 LTE Modem, which can give
downloads speeds up to 600 Mbps. The latest Wi-Fi 802.11ad called as WiGig that
gives higher transfer rates. Apart from the Snapdragon 820’s latest features,
there are no details mentioned about the specifications or the availability of
the device.
The rumored specifications of the Le Max
Pro suggest the device to feature the same 6.33-inch Quad HD display as seen on
the Le Max. The Snapdragon 820 processor will be accompanied with 4GB of LPDDR4
RAM. It will be launched in three variants with 32/64/128 GB internal storages.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with EUI overlaid and is
backed by a 3,400 mAh battery.
It also supports dual SIM dual standby
and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac/ad 802.11, NFC,
Bluetooth 4.2, MHL, GPS, and USB Type-C port. On the camera part, it sports
21MP rear camera with OIS and dual tone LED flash, while there is no
information regarding the front camera. It is said to be available in the first
half of 2016, but we are still waiting for the official details of the Le Max
Pro.
