Micromax Canvas Fantabulet
Micromax Informatics has introduced its
biggest smartphone yet, a 6.98-inch device that is aimed to introduce a new
category in the Indian smartphone industry. The Canvas Fantabulet, weird name
for a phone, sports a whopping 7-inch HD display that would be catering the
need of consumer wanting to buy phablet.
What’s impressive than its biggest
display is that device comes with a Dual Box speakers where DTS technology is
integrated to offer great audio experience. Now that is combined with an
extensive real estate can be a good audio-visual experience for movie buffs
on-the-go. Created solely for media consumption, this new category handset can
be a benchmark for offering affordable handsets with large real estate and
incredible audio output technology.
Under the hood is the MediaTek chipset
clocking at 1.3 GHz with Quad-cores, it is accompanied by a 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB
of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card slot. It would be
running on the older Android Lollipop 5.0 version, which is a setback for this big
phablet. Regarding the camera modules, it packs 8-megapixel Autofocus image
sensor on the rear while the 2-megapixel fixed focus module on the front.
The device doesn’t have much to offer in
terms of the connectivity options apart from 3G and 2G network connectivity
while providing a usual set of feature including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It can be
assumed that device sports GPS, but the company hasn’t whether it supports the
location tracking feature or not. All this would be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery,
which won’t be enough for a smartphone with the largest display ever.
The Micromax Fantabulet would be
available for purchase at Rs. 7499 for a Gold Chrome color, exclusively via
Flipkart, the online retailer in India. You can expect a bundle offering such
as Eros Now, Kindle, Saavn and Gaana apps pre-installed on the device.
