Spice Proton 5
The Indian smartphone manufacturer,
Spice has recently launched a new pocket-friendly smartphone called as Spice
Proton 5. The device is priced at Rs.
5,999 and is available for purchase exclusively via HomeShop 18.
The main key of the Spice Proton 5 is it
sports a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and is one of the cheapest handsets to
offer such camera at that price tag. On the front, it has a 5 MP shooter for
video chats and selfie lovers. Coming to its specifications, the smartphone
features a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of
294 ppi and DragonTrail Glass protection on top of it.
It comes with
an unspecified 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal
storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 32 GB. The device supports dual
sim dual standby and includes basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Bluetooth
4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. The only downside is it lacks the
4G-LTE support that is being offered by other smartphone makers like Intex and
Micromax in most of their devices these days.
The handset comes backed by a 2000 mAh
battery that the company claims can last upto 4 hours of talk time and upto 8
days of standby time. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the
box and is available in Black color option.
