Oppo R7 Plus 4GB

Oppo announced an R7 Plus high-end variant. The device will be available for China Unicom subscribers specifically, or as an international handset. Oppo's Chinese website is accepting pre-orders, with an official launch expected to take place later this month.

Specs-wise, there are plenty of similarities between this phone and the Oppo R7 Plus. The biggest difference is that the high-end variant is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, compared to the 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM on the R7 Plus.

The rest of the specs for the Oppo R7 Plus high-end include a 6-inch AMOLED display, with 2D arc glass and a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 615 chipset is under the hood, carrying an octa-core 1.5 GHz CPU, and the Adreno 405 GPU. The model for China Unicom sports the MediaTek MT6795 SoC, carrying a true octa-core CPU. A fingerprint scanner is on board.

A 13 MP camera adorns the back of the handset, while an 8 MP snapper can be found in front to shoot selfies and handle video chats. The large 4,100 mAh battery keeps the lights on, and VOOC Rapid Charge allows you to grab enough power to run the phone for a few hours after just a few minutes of outlet time. The handset has a hybrid SIM slot, which means that one of the openings can be use to hold a microSD card. The model supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG connectivity. Android 5.1 is pre-installed, with Color OS 2.1 running on top.

The Oppo R7 Plus high-end variant is 7.75 mm thick, and weighs a strapping 192 grams. Featuring a metal build, the phone is offered in a Golden color. The China Unicom version is priced at the equivalent of US$ 470. The international model will cost you US$ 515.
