Micromax Canvas Mega E353
Micromax
has launched new handsets in India under Canvas Mega series. Fighting for
the second spot in the Indian smartphone market, Micromax launched Canvas Mega E353 at Rs 7,999 prices. Earlier, the
Mega 353 was listed by Flipkart and thus was already out in the world. But now
the company has given it the official stamp.
The
Canvas Mega 353 sports a large 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution and is
powered by a MediaTek MT6592 processor, which an Octa-core chipset clocking at
1.4 GHz. The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 version and might come with
custom Android skin installed with bloatware. Packing 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of
internal storage, this is not exactly on par with current standards in this
price range. Although, there is a microSD card support that allows the
expansion of storage space up to 32 GB.
In
terms of the cameras, the rear side houses 13-megapixel autofocus image sensor,
which is accompanied by the LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel camera sensor on
the front, which can be used to take a selfie or either for video calls. The
bummer on this handset is that it doesn’t offer 4G LTE network support and
doesn’t have dual SIM card support. Currently, India is one of those countries
where 4G enabled smartphones can be purchased as low as 5K. Now just imagine
having this 8K phone with no 4G service to play with. The device is powered by
considerable large 2820 mAh battery.
