Leagoo Alfa 1
Leagoo, a brand owned by OTEDA group
from China has launched a mid-range handset for the holiday season. The Alfa 1
smartphone is the new arrival that is being touted as one of the best designed
mid-range smartphones from company. This metal bodied smartphone is claimed to
be build with a 5.0 mm metal frame.
The Leagoo Alfa 1 comes with a large
5.5-inch 720p display that counts for 267Ppi pixel density.
The company claims that it has 1000:1 high contrast that should deliver a great
viewing experience even under a strong lighting condition. Powered by a
Quad-core Cortex A7 processor with 28 nm size, it clocks at 1.3 GHz. It is stated
to offer smooth operation and efficient power consumption according to the
brand.
There is a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal
storage available on the device supporting the CPU. Meanwhile, you can add up
to 64 GB of storage space via microSD card slot. It is unknown what version of
Android is this device running on, but it is understandable from the images
that it’s a custom interface, not your usual stock Android.
While talking about the camera
department, it packs 13-megapixel Sony image sensor, company didn’t exactly
revealed the specifics of it, but we hope it’s the popular IMX214 that is on
the OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi 4 and Obi Worldphone SF1. On the front, it has a
5-megapixel image sensor for the selfie and video calling needs. The rear
camera module is capable of recording up to 4K video at 30 fps while 1080p
video at 60 fps.
Regarding connectivity options, the
device lacks 4G LTE connectivity as according to the specs on their official
website. But like Android OS details are missing on company’s site, it might be
true that they might have missed out on adding 4G connectivity is missing. It’s
just a speculation, which you should take with a pinch of salt. Other
interesting pointers are support of Dual SIM, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microUSB
and OTG. All this is powered by a 3,000 mAh capacity battery.
