Elephone Ivory
Elephone are saying that their Elephone
Ivory is the most cost effective octacore phone on the market today.
Their first phone to
cost less than US$ 100 retail is the new Elephone Ivory, an octacore device with
5-inch display that Elephone says is the most cost effective 8 core phone on
the market today.
First up it’s good to see that the
Elephone Ivory isn’t simply a knock off of a Meizu M2 or Redmi Phone like we
have seen from other phone makers, but it does look a little ‘Ulefone’ inspired
with a grey rear panel option and curved 2.5D display upfront.
Elephone have tried to make the Ivory as
down to earth as possible, so you won’t see a fingerprint scanner, hear rate
monitor, eye unlock or other gimmicks. Instead the phone comes with a 5-inch
720p display, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, and Mediatek MT6753 chipset
running at 1.3 Ghz.
According to the official Elephone Ivory
specifications page, the phone also boasts a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, dual
micro SIM support and a 2800 mAh battery. FM radio and LTE bands 1/3/7 and 20
are supported too.
Elephone state that the Elephone Ivory
is up for pre-order now for US$ 99.99, that’s the retail price, and as they
suggest that it will make a good Christmas gift we hope that they orders will
be shipped quickly.
