Gionee
GN8001
The latest Gionee
handset to be certified by TENAA is the GN8001. This is a phablet featuring a
6-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (FHD). An octa-core
1.3 GHz CPU is under the hood, with 3 GB of RAM on board. 32 GB of native storage
is inside, with a 128 GB capacity microSD slot available for those who need
additional memory.
The rear-facing camera
will either be 13 MP or 8 MP, and a 5 MP front-facing camera snaps selfies and
handles video chats. We don't have information about the battery powering the
device, but the juicer inside could be in the neighborhood of 3000 mAh. Android
5.1 is pre-installed on the GN8001, which measures 8.2mm thick, but tips the scales
at a heavy 206 grams.
The Gionee GN8001
supports 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and USB connectivity. So far, there is no
word on pricing or availability. But now that the phone has been certified by
TENAA, making the phone official should not take terribly long for Gionee.
