Sony Xperia Z5 Compact


The Xperia Z5 Compact shares the fingerprint sensor and the Xperia logo in the frame but looks a lot chunkier. It measures 127 mm x 65 mm x 8.9 mm so it’s not really thin. The 138 gram of heft are justified here by the 2,700 mAh cell capacity.


The Xperia Z5 Compact use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC, comes with 2 GB of RAM include 32 GB of NAND and have MicroSD slots. The display has a 4.6-inch (1280x720). Looking at the camera, the specific camera sensor used is Sony's IMX230, which is a 23 MP 1/2.3" sensor with 1.12 micron pixels. The lens used has a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 24 mm, and an aperture of F/2.0. The Xperia Z5 Compact will only be available with a single NanoSIM slot.


The Xperia Z5 Compact packs a 2,700 mAh battery, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and comes in black, white, yellow, and "coral". The smartphones will be on store shelves globally starting in October, but pricing remains to be detailed.
