Lenovo
Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m
The larger Lenovo Vibe P1 combines productivity and security in
a sleek package with a gigantic 5000 mAh battery that will provide you
with up to 81 hours of battery life, or more than three days on a charge with
normal usage. Given Lenovo's heritage with the P-series.
Lenovo
has wrapped it in a metal and glass chassis, and managed the size at 152.9 x 75.6 x 4.6-9.9 mm, though
the phone is heavy enough at 189 gram, which can be expected from a
metal casing and a huge power pack. Other than that, the P1 is a midranger with
a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS-LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor,
13 MP rear camera with PDAF, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and up to 128 GB
microSD card. Lenovo has also included a fingerprint scanner and a rapid
charger in the package.
The
P1m is the smaller sibling, with a 5" HD display, 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P
quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage plus a memory card slot, 8 MP
camera, and a 4000 mAh battery. It sports an intriguing advanced nano-coating
technology by P2i for protection against accidental splashes and spills, and is fairly compact for the battery size, at 141 x 71.8 x 9.3 mm.
The
metal Lenovo P1 and its 5000 mAh battery will be available in Platinum and
Graphite Grey, while the polycarbonate P1m with its splash-resistant
nanocoating comes in Onyx Black and Pearl White. Expect for both to appear
later this year, with the P1m starting at the very affordable US$ 159 for the full
4000 mAh experience.
