American
brand Apple has officially unveiled its latest tablet – the iPad Pro. The new
iPad Pro tablet is a new and power tablet and let’s take a look at the specs.
iPad
Pro smartphone has a 12.9-inch Retina Display with 2732 x 2048 resolution and
264 ppi. It is powered by a new 64-bit Apple A9X mobile processor with M9
motion coprocessor. The new A9X processor is said to be 2x memory bandwidth, 2x
storage performance and 1.8x faster performance than the A8X in the iPad Air 2.
The
12.9-inch tablet features an 8-megapixel iSight camera with f/2.4 aperture,
1080p video recording alongside a 1.2 megapixel HD front-facing camera with
f/2.2 aperture. Other key features/specs of iPad Pro smartphone are 3.5 mm audio
jack, multiple sensors, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (dual band).
The
iPad Pro is available in Wi-Fi only and 4G LTE models. The device supports
maximum download speed on 4G of 300 Mbps and maximum download speed on 4G of
50 Mbps due to the LTE Cat. 6 (depends to model). The battery of iPad Pro is a
38.5-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery (non-removable) with up to 10 hours of
surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video or listening to music.
The
dimensions are 305.7x 220.6 x 6.9 mm and weights at 713 grams (WiFi) and 723
grams (Wi-Fi + Cellular). Apple has even added a four-speaker audio system to
the iPad Pro, and iOS 9 will balance the sound dependent on how you’re holding
the device. The operating system for the iPad Pro is iOS 9 while the
fingerprint scanner is the second generation TouchID.
Other
than the huge tablet, the Cupertino based company also introduced a Smart
Keyboard. It’s covered in a fabric that forms the structure for the keyboard.
Three new circles along the side of the device act as a new Smart Connector to
attach the keyboard to the iPad Pro, in a similar style to the Surface
keyboard.
Aside
from the Smart Keyboard, Apple Pencil has been unveiled as well. Apps like the
built-in Mail and Notes apps all support Apple Pencil, allowing you to ink in
notes or email messages. Apple Pencil can be recharged using a Lightning
connector that plugs directly into the iPad Pro, and a 15-second charge will
last for 30 minutes.
The
Apple iPad Pro comes in Silver, Space Gray, and Gold. It is priced at US$ 799 for
the 32 GB version, US$ 949 for 128 GB and US$ 1079 for the 128 GB for WiFi + LTE
variant. It’ll be available in November. The Smart Keyboard costs US$ 169 and the
Apple Pencil is priced at US$ 99.
